Week 7

Well we are nearing down the final stretch. God is doing awesome things everyday!
This week we brought clothes and water to the homeless and Erin preached and rapped her guts out! So cool!!! A homeless man recommitted his life to the Lord.
A homeless family with 5 children that we had been meeting with that had been living in a parking structure got housing!!! Big deal!! Praise Jesus!!

Our kiddos at Bishop Manor had another week of VBS!! Teen Challenge came in this week. So fun! God is so faithful to continue to bring people who love Jesus into these kids' lives. They handed out backpacks and school supplies to these kids who most likely wouldn't get anything. We have one more day with these kids next week... We sure are going to miss them!!!

We had an opportunity to have dinner in Santa Ana with key volunteers that have really been paving a way to see change in Santa Ana. Heroes in the faith really going after loving people. This was a real refreshing evening. It is good to get perspective and really realize that God is already here, and He has been here for decades loving people through those who have chosen to make themselves available for Him to partner with. They were a real blessing to meet and hear their hearts.

Circuit Riders are in town and are in full swing. We have met up with them a few times. Worship has been awesome! Its real fun to see so many radical young people fired up for Jesus here in Orange County. God is moving here!!! Revival is happening!!! We love Orange County!!
We love being here!!

Thank you for following on with us in our journey!! Please be praying for our kids in Bishop Manor that God would solidify the truths they heard this summer in their hearts and that they would lean on Him when things get crazy.

Please also pray for us to finish strong. Pray that our last week would be filled with radical fruit. Please pray that as we are preparing to leave that we can help find those who can partner with our contacts here and would continue building relationships where we have left off.
Thank you so much for your love, prayers and your support!!! We appreciate you!!!!

Week 6

Hello everyone!!!
Another amazing week! God is so faithful to our hearts!!
We started out the week with an opportunity to help out with a promotional screening of Nefarious, a very gripping documentary on modern sex slavery, put on by Exodus Cry which is a decentralized community of intercessors and abolitionists committed to ending Modern Day Slavery. After seeing this how can we not be grieved of soul that the children of the world are being sold for sex... http://nefariousdocumentary.com/
This week has been sobering in a way as so many different people we have met from all over have really been bringing this reality into the light. I think God is trying to get our attention.
We went to a brunch the following morning after the documentary to meet a lady who is a key contact for being involved in bringing awareness to people. What started out as brunch and hearing testimonies turned into an amazing time of prayer and ministry to the Lord and each other. The power and presence of God fell so heavy in that place where manifestations of the Spirit were evident... Pretty sure we were all drunk in the Spirit. There was so much laughter that erupted that we couldn't stop. I am pretty sure we all were in need of God's presence in that way. It was a wild and amazing time!! :)

We are still going to Santa Ana and ministering to the homeless, inviting more people to come with us that will continue on with Maribelle. Our hopes is that this will be an ongoing ministry of people coming along side her in her vision of bringing hope to these people.

This week has been an incredible week with the kids at Bishop Manor. There was a local church whose kids Sunday School raised money to put on a VBS for our kids. On the last day of the VBS there was a huge blow up slide and a huge blow up slip and slide and pool time. Our kids heard Jesus' name everyday.... "Jump! shout! give a high five! Jesus is alive... Jesus is ALIVE!!!" These Jesus songs played all week long!! These songs are the kind that stick if you know what I mean? Really good for the kids to remember. They were so blessed. Everyone had ear to ear smiles. We all had fun. Our inner kid came out. Normally we interact with around 30 kids on a given day, and on the the last day there were close to 100 kids jumping and screaming and getting wet. It was a blast!!!

Thank you for all your support and prayers!!! Please continue to pray for us as we are learning to be flexible. Pray also for wisdom and clarity as the Lord shows us what and where to go next.
Much Love!!!

Week 5

BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Friends and family we wanted to let you know as soon as we were certain... Before we left Kona, we were given the name Team LA/NY. We were to go to LA and then go to NY. As of 2 days before we left we lost our housing that would have been in LA and God strategically placed us in Orange County in an amazing home of a local pastor and his family. This home has been a hub for all kinds of people coming and going. This home is a community of people that loves Jesus. We have been blessed with many opportunities for ministry and building relationships here in Irvine, Santa Ana and in Orange County at large. We felt collectively that God was telling us that we needed to continue on with these ministries to see a breakthrough happen in the lives of the people in these communities. So we are not going to be leaving for NY on the 15th like we had originally planned but we are going to stay here in Orange County California to see the fullness of God released on these people.

Please pray that the Lord would give us greater clarity as we press into the second half of our outreach. Pray also that we would encounter more of the Holy Spirit and that His fullness would pour out on our lives and the lives of those around us.

Thank you so much for your love, prayers and support!!!

Week 4

We just passed the one month mark on outreach... Crazy!! We love it here!!
This week has been amazing! So many great opportunities, so many great experiences!!

We helped out with an organization called Laundry Love. We helped over 40 homeless families do over 105 loads of laundry in 2 hours while having the biggest dance party of our lives. I have never seen a laundry mat that has a jukebox right in the middle. Boy did we dance!! Pretty epic I'd say... It was really fun.

We are enjoying our Friday night "Soak" times. We are seeing God move a lot in people's lives. The Lord has also been opening up several opportunities for us to share our testimony's. Everyone is sharing with boldness whether it be on Sunday morning at church or at "Xealot", our Tuesday night communitos, or really any opportunity of coming together with new friends.

We are growing more and more together as a team. We are finding the more we minister together the more we see the Holy Spirit move. We are so hungry for more of Him and are eagerly expectant for what God is gonna do today.

Thank you for all your love and support!! Great things to share soon!
Team LANY.

Porche

I first noticed her as she was chasing a boy through this homeless community that lives at the Civics Center. We were handing out waters and Spanish Bibles, making conversation, and bringing hope. We weaved are way through the little pockets of homeless people scattered on the grass and next to buildings. I can picture the aroma of Christ every where we walk almost as if a large ribbon were following us every where we go caught up in the wind. We made are way across the street close to the Library where there is a gazebo. A family with 5 children live there. Its dinner time. A local church had made and brought hot dogs and chips for the homeless this evening. As we were talking to this family Porche who also is staying in the gazebo came over to us. Porche loves Jesus. Porche is an older Jamaican woman. Her accent is awesome! She showed us her Bible. It was well worn in and you could tell she likes to read it a lot. We asked if we could pray for her and she liked that idea. She walked us over to her side of the gazebo where her meager possessions were. Her blankets were laid out on the concrete floor and she had a few bags on the built in bench. We laid hands on her and the Holy Spirit spoke with clarity. She was so encouraged. There was so much faith in our little circle. I asked her if she had any physical pain and she showed us the areas. We laid hands on her again with great expectation that God would heal her. As we prayed you could see her expression changing. She was getting excited. We stopped and asked her how she was feeling and she said that there was less pain. So we prayed for more healing believing that God would do a complete work. We prayed and He did just that.. Full healing! She was shocked, but so excited!! Her faith had made her well. She told us that while we were praying, that she felt what was like electric popping behind her ear and the back of her skull where there had been pain. She was sitting there pain free. We prayed that she would have boldness to share what God had done, and chatted with her about the Bible and some of her favorite passages. God Bless Porche! Hope to see her again next week.

Week 3

We are three weeks in on this amazing journey!! How is this time going by so fast? I mean really? We are learning so much from our experiences, our time together, from the children and from Rami's morning teachings. Remarkable things are happening as we are following the Holy Spirit. And we are extatic with all the cool things the Lord is doing everyday.

Friday night we helped launch "Soak" which is a healing ministry @ Irvine Newsong Church. This ministry is a night of worship and prayer. It was incredible. Peoples lives were changed. And the pastor got an email the next day that a woman who went who didn't receive prayer was healed. She had physical pain before she went to bed and woke up with no pain. God is so good!!!

Our times at Bishop Manor are awesome!! We love these kids! As we walk in the door first thing the kids are rattling off our names in succession as we enter. They are so cute!

We have been spending more time with the homeless. The Lord is truly giving us a heart for them. Some days are harder down there but the end result is the same... we want them to feel loved and valued. We smile, we pray, and we bring water.

There are 7 women on our team and we are all learning how to live in community and love one another. We are learning about relationships and how God intended friendships. Each woman on our team is coming more and more alive. We are growing closer as a team and in our relationships with the Holy Spirit. We are more hungry for God than we have ever been. We are fully reliant on Him as we are seeking daily for what we should do.

Please be praying for us that we would have even greater unity, for clarity as we are inquiring of the Lord for some key elements of direction, and for a greater measure of faith. Pray also for wisdom as so many doors and invitations are opening up that we choose exactly where the Lord wants us.

Thank you all for your prayers and support!!!!
We love and miss you all!!!!
